Fifty years ago to the day, Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen descended on the Filmore West and delivered one of the legendary performances in rock ‘n’ roll history. On April 26th, we step back in time and tell the story of a tour that materialized in just six days, changing the lives of 43 misfits who boarded a shuddering Lockheed Super Constellation airplane and took the country by storm.
Narrated through the lens of rock ‘n’ roll photographer, Linda Wolf, this virtual event features never-before-seen photographs, footage, music, and live interviews (from home) with musicians and crew from the original tour as well as the 2015 Lockn’ tribute with the Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Tune in on April 26, 2020, at 1PM PDT / 4PM EDT to be part of this 50th-anniversary Spectacular, streaming live on Facebook, YouTube, and at cockerpowerbook.com. The program will include an interactive Q&A, so bring your burning questions.
